Junho Park (Ph.D student in Electrical Engineering), Jaehyun Choi (Ph.D Student in Mechanical Engineering) and Prof. Wonbin Hong (Lead advisor) has developed an antenna tuning technology to improve quality of service (QoS) in 5G cellular mobile communication system.
POSTECH-SK Telecom joint research team has developed the impedance calibration technology that can be universally used to 5G millimeter wave antenna for the first time in the world and completed the verification in real 5G channel environments at SK Telecom. The research results are expected to be applied to millimeter wave 5G mobile communication system which requires precise transmission and reception environment to improve call/data quality and battery power consumption
